Respawn Entertainment, the developer of the hugely successful first-person shooter Titanfall, is apparently working on a brand-new, third-person action adventure title with a single-player campaign and boss battles.

Two new job listings reveal some fresh details regarding what the studio is up to, and it's apparently not working on Titanfall 2, or rather it's working on something else too.

The company is hiring for several positions, and the required experience for two of the openings offers some information regarding the nature of Respawn's future project.

One of the listings lists "experience working on 3rd person action/adventure games, demonstrating major contributions in the areas of hero control schemes, enemy design, navigation mechanics, and combat" as a requirement.

Another listing shows that Respawn is looking for a senior system designer "to embrace and contribute to the project vision, specifically in the areas of hero control/mechanics, enemy design, AI behaviors, combat/weapons, class design, skills/progression, story, and boss encounters."

The "story" and "boss encounters" keywords suggest that Respawn's next project will feature single-player content as well, as opposed to Titanfall, which was a purely multiplayer experience.

The company hired former God of War Director Stig Asmussen after he was laid off from Sony Computer Entertainment's Santa Monica studios, and he was said to be working as game director on something new, the yet unannounced project that might have been referenced in the two new job listings.
