The recent Titanfall beta stage on the PC and Xbox One platforms was accessed by over 2 million players worldwide, according to new data from Respawn.

Titanfall launches next month and, in order to make sure that the online multiplayer shooter will handle the load of players, developer Respawn organized a beta stage on PC and Xbox One.

After the test phase ended on February 19, the studio began collecting data and, according to a statement from Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe for Polygon, over 2 million players tried out the game.

The studio's designers are now poring over videos from users as well as internal data to make sure that there aren't any flaws in the game's mechanics and how they're highlighted to players.

Titanfall debuts on March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe, for PC and Xbox One. It also launches for Xbox 360 on March 25 and 28, respectively.
