Titanfall can already be played by owners of the game on the PC platform thanks to a few tricks and a couple of modified files that allow the game to start and connect to the official servers ahead of its launch next week.

Titanfall is eagerly awaited by millions of gamers worldwide and PC owners were finally able to start pre-loading the massive game yesterday via the Origin service.

However, even if all the files are downloaded, the system will not let you start the game until it's officially available to all users worldwide.

Thankfully, a few clever users on Reddit have managed to find a workaround by using a modified executable file from the beta stage of the game, which actually works with the full-fledged game.

More specifically, it involves downloading a few modified files, replacing the existing ones in the Titanfall installation directory, and just starting the game while having Origin run in the background.

The game should start and servers are already operational.

Respawn's Drew McCoy, however, mentioned on Twitter that using modified files might not be so safe, although it's unclear if the studio will ban or take action against those who use this method to play Titanfall early.
