14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix are delivering a new trailer for their upcoming reboot of Thief which focuses on Basso, the nearest thing that main character Garrett has to an actual friend.
The two companies are trying to deliver footage that shows the atmosphere of the game and reveals some of its narrative using a variety of points of view.
They state, "Each trailer in this new series tells the story of The City from the perspective of a different character in Thief's narrative describing what life is like in the broken, repressed City that is being ravaged by the evil Baron Northcrest and the mysterious sickness known as ‘The Gloom’."
Basso was a safe cracker and now works as a fence, making sure that thieves get money as long as they can deliver rare goods.
He owns a smart magpie called Jenivere which can get his messages to anyone in the city.
Thief will be out February 25, 2014 in North America and three days later in Europe on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
