Jonathan Blow, the creator of The Witness, has posted two new screenshots taken from the indie game, which seem to suggest that he is planning to add support for a virtual reality solution for the title. It's unclear whether this will happen only on the PC version of the experience or only on the PlayStation 4.

The two images, unaccompanied by any text on the official blog, are named VR.

The only commercially viable virtual reality solution at the moment is the Oculus Rift, which works only on the PC at the moment.

The images might also be a way for the indie developer to tease that The Witness will use the much rumored but still unofficial virtual reality technology that Sony is working on for the PlayStation 4.

The new game focuses on exploration and discovery and would be well suited to offer support for virtual reality elements.

It will be launched on both platforms in 2015.
