CD Projekt Red has celebrated the six-year anniversary of its The Witcher series and confirmed that, during all this time, over six million copies of the two games in the franchise have been sold.

The Witcher appeared back in 2007 and, while it may not have been the prettiest or most intuitive experience, it quickly drew in a cult-like following thanks to its original universe based on the series of Witcher books.

After that, The Witcher 2 took everything to a whole new level and delivered a stunning experience both on the PC and on the Xbox 360.

Now, the studio is busy working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the next-gen evolution of the series.

Fortunately, it still has time to celebrate the six-year anniversary of the franchise and confirmed on its website that over six million copies have been sold during this time.

As a celebration, a new concept artwork has been revealed, available above, and a special infographic showing various details about the different games in the series.
