CD Projekt RED has announced that the digital version of the upcoming The Witcher Adventure Game is heading into a closed beta test, and that the first wave of invites has already been sent.

Gamers who pre-ordered The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt role-playing game through GOG.com will receive priority invites, ensuring that they get a chance to try out the digital board game ahead of the rest of the world.

CD Projekt RED says that the beta will in part serve to test and refine some of the multiplayer components of the upcoming GOG Galaxy service.

"With the distribution of further invitations planned as the beta progresses, players interested in participating in the testing can still navigate to GOG.com/galaxy and sign up for a chance to participate," the company states.

The multiplayer beta is only available for the Windows PC and Mac platforms, but the final version of The Witcher Adventure Game will also be available on iOS and Android tablets.

In addition to the digital edition, CD Projekt RED is also looking to launch a physical one, in collaboration with reputable board game maker Fantasy Flight Games.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming out on February 24, 2015, for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
