Adam Badowski, the managing director at CD Projekt RED, says that his team will include three playable epilogues in the coming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, each of them built around a set of morality choices that the player has made during the story.

He tells Polygon that, “We didn’t mean to develop something special for the endings, it’s a natural consequence of the story line. The story has hundreds of different branches and sub plots. We have to just sum all of those elements up in the epilogues.”

The team has previously revealed that there are 36 possible final states for the game world.

It’s yet unclear which elements of The Witcher 3 story will count for the epilogues and which will have a smaller impact on the game world.

Wild Hunt uses an entirely new game engine and will complete Geralt’s story during 2014.
