CD Projekt Red confirms that its upcoming day-one patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to bring improvements to the game's performance and framerate specifically on the PS4 platform, thereby alleviating some of the complains in yesterday's reviews.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches next week, on May 19. However, work on the title was done last month, and since then, CD Projekt Red has invited different media outlets to post their reviews using early PS4 copies.

While the praise was universal, some impressions highlighted framerate and performance problems on the Sony console for the RPG.

In order to ease the worries of fans, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot confirms on Twitter that the day-one patch for The Witcher 3 is designed to solve some of the issues.

More specifically, he tells fans that framerate and performance have already been improved in the current build at the studio, so fans can also get these enhancements by downloading the day-one update, which takes the game to version 1.01, on May 19, right alongside the RPG.

Yesterday, the studio also mentioned that the patch would be available as a free download on its website for PC, meaning even those with pirated copies can score the update and enjoy its improvements.
