The development team working on the newly announced The Sims 4 includes more than 100 developers at the moment, with some of them associated with the franchise since the first title was launched and who have created core elements like the unique language.

The information comes from a transcript of the announcement conference call seen on NeoGAF and reveals that The Sims 4 had been in development for a while before the game was revealed to the public.

The new game is designed to increase the level of realism for the life-simulation series and to give players more options when it comes to their character’s development.

The development team says that the single-player component of The Sims 4 will be playable entirely offline, but that connecting with other players and the official servers will enhance the overall experience.
