Epic Games has just rolled out the pre-alpha version of the new Unreal Tournament multiplayer shooter, while also presenting a fantastic gameplay video that shows the new Outpost 23 map, not to mention some intense action on it.

Epic Games surprised fans when it revealed that it has a small team working to bring forth a new Unreal Tournament multiplayer first-person shooter. The game spent some time in the very early stages of development, but with the arrival of the free Unreal Engine 4 that was confirmed earlier this week, it seems that Epic has decided to unleash a pre-alpha version of Unreal Tournament to everyone.

All you have to do is register on the official website for an Epic Games account, grab the installer for the Epic Games desktop application, and then choose to download the game.

In order to showcase just what awaits those who participate in the game, a special gameplay video has just been presented, depicting the action on the new Outpost 23 map, which looks absolutely fantastic.

The new Unreal Tournament is free to download and play, and Epic encourages people to create their own mods as well as items that can be sold through the marketplace, similar to Valve's approach with Dota 2.
