Video game publisher Atari and developer Cryptic Studios have launched the second trailer for their upcoming MMO Neverwinter, showing how the game feeds on the Dungeons & Dragons lore to create a living, breathing game universe.

In Neverwinter, which is based around the main city of the Sword Coast, gamers will be able to pick one of five classes and then create cooperative groups with real life friends or with Artificial Intelligence in order to deal with threats and solve quests.

The Forge system will allow players to create their own content and make them available to the rest of the player community.

The Neverwinter MMO will be launched exclusively on the PC during the fourth quarter of 2012 and at the same time fans of the Dungeons & Dragons universe will also get the first book in a trilogy from well known author R.A. Salvatore and a tabletop game from the Wizards of the Coast.
