The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog has confirmed that it won't release any more single-player DLC besides the upcoming Left Behind add-on, as the studio will only launch a few more multiplayer expansions.

The Last of Us amazed millions of PS3 owners worldwide last summer and it has since received a fair bit of multiplayer add-ons, including new map packs, customization items, or free modes.

Now, the first single-player story-based expansion is set to launch next month, in the form of the Left Behind prologue campaign.

According to Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli, who replied to a comment on PS blog, the DLC will be the first and last story-based expansion.

After Left Behind, the studio will only release multiplayer add-ons, as it doesn't have plans for any other stories for the PS3 game.

It's unclear if the new multiplayer DLC will include maps, modes, or customization items.
