The development team at Naughty Dog and publisher Sony are finally confirming that they are working on a special The Last of Us: Remastered bundle for the PlayStation 4, which will include a next-gen home console, a copy of the game and a DualShock 4 controller.

The sales price for the entire package is 429.99 dollars (543 dollars), but at the moment, the two companies are only confirming that it will be launched for gamers in Europe.

It’s unclear whether an announcement for North America will be made at a later date or if there are no plans to offer it on the market.

Sony is not giving any more details about the bundle, but the popularity of The Last of Us, which got a lot of Game of the Year awards in 2013, will probably help to sell more PlayStation 4 devices when the Remastered version is finally launched, towards the end of July.

The new version of the game will come complete with all the downloadable content that was launched recently, including the multiplayer maps and the Left Behind prequel story element.

At the same time, Naughty Dog is promising better graphics, 1080p resolution and a number of enhancements to the core gameplay mechanics.
