The Last of Us Remastered for the PlayStation 4 is the classic experience seen on the PS3 but at the next level, according to developer Naughty Dog, which once again praised the 60fps framerate.

The Last of Us was one of the most impressive PS3 games ever released for the platform, managing to deliver some pretty great visuals while being hampered by the 30fps framerate, due to the console's lack of power.

While the game appeared last year, Naughty Dog and Sony are working together to bring it to the PS4 this summer, in the form of a The Last of Us Remastered edition, which takes advantage of the new and much more powerful console to deliver better performance.

While talking about the game on Twitter, Designer Quentin Cobb said that the 1080p native resolution is pretty impressive but the 60fps framerate really takes the survival experience to a whole new level.

"1080p looks great but it's the increased frame rate that really takes it to the next level," he said.

The Last of Us Remastered has received quite a few details in recent weeks and you can expect to hear even more as we get closer to the game's launch this month, on July 29 worldwide, exclusively for the PS4 platform.
