Video game developer Naughty Dog announces that the Left Behind downloadable content for The Last of Us is confirmed for launch on February 14, allowing gamers to explore a new story that features Ellie as the protagonist.

The announcement came after fans of the game had already spotted the date on the PlayStation Network.

Naughty Dog says on the official site that, "After inexplicably disappearing for weeks, Riley reemerges in Ellie’s life with a surprising revelation. The two sneak out of their school for the last time, leading to a series of events that will forever change both of their lives."

The major themes of Left Behind will be survival, loyalty and love.

It's not yet clear whether Naughty Dog has plans to launch any other DLC for The Last of Us, and a PS4 port is being rumored to be in development.
