Amazon has just published the results of its video games fan favorite poll for 2013, showing the clear winner, as well as both expected and surprising appearances.

The visual chart published on Facebook illustrates how action-adventure survival horror title The Last of Us blew away all competition by a great margin, hoarding almost half of the total votes.

Following in its footsteps, Grand Theft Auto V and Bioshock Infinite have also managed to get ahead of the competition, but their total votes barely amounted to half that of Naughty Dog's creation.

The full top ten included Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider, Fire Emblem: Awakening and Battlefield 4, in order of popularity.

While some blockbusters like the latest installments in the Assassin's Creed and Battlefield series were certainly expected to show up, titles such as Fire Emblem: Awakening and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch are definitely a surprise.
