Developer Daoka says that its upcoming The Fighter Within video game for the Xbox One will require about 1.5 meters (4.92 feet) of free space around the player in order to allow the new Kinect to track their movements.

Luc Verdier, a producer working on the title, is quoted by The Official Xbox Magazine as saying that “The good news is that the exclusion of objects has also been greatly improved so this great recognition is not disturbed by all the items around you, or people passing behind you while you’re playing.”

The new Kinect sensor is capable enough to individually track the movement of a player’s eyes and fingers.

The Fighter Within also includes a versus mode in which motion tracking is used for both players and then the space requirements increase.

The game will be launched alongside the Xbox One on December 22 in 13 core markets.
