A new batch of screenshots for the upcoming horror game The Evil Within has been released into the wild, along with a nice concept art piece.

Developer Tango Gameworks is currently working on the horror survival title, to be published by Bethesda Softworks when it's completed, later this year.

The new screens show the game's protagonist, Detective Sebastian Castellanos, running around with what else but a dull flashlight, and the concept art depicts the rest of the cast, arriving at the location of a mass murder, most probably.

The game will have players take on the role of the detective, after he wakes up from being knocked unconscious, following witnessing the killing of his fellow police officers at the scene of a gruesome murder.

He finds himself trapped in a creepy mansion where monsters are wandering about and he tries to make sense of the situation and escape with his life.

Several more concept art pieces for The Evil Within have been released earlier this month, featured on AGB.

The Evil Within will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC sometime this year.
