Gamers need to turn off protection for their PC

The development team at ZeniMax Online and publisher Bethesda have delivered a major patch for The Elder Scrolls Online, designed to add more content to the game and to make sure that some known issues are solved, but it seems that an important number of players are unable to access it at the moment.

The company is highlighting an official support page for the “webget request failed” error, which can be generated by a number of causes, including the use of an antivirus program, firewall or ad blocker in the browser.

Gamers are advised to try and turn off these protective measures before they try to get the 1.5.2 update for The Elder Scrolls Online.

If anything else fails, ZeniMax Online has created a special game consultant for the MMO, which can generate a file that can be then used to work with Customer Support to find a solution.

For The Elder Scrolls Online, it is important to get as many gamers as possible to access to the patch quickly in order to make sure that they can connect to the game and explore the new content.

The Bethesda MMO is at the moment offered on the PC and should also get versions for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 at some point.
