The Division, the upcoming online role-playing game from Ubisoft and its Massive team, will take place mainly in Manhattan but, according to the developer, players will be able to visit other areas in the game, although no other details were offered.

By far one of the most intriguing games presented at E3 2013 this summer was The Division, a new multiplayer experience from Ubisoft Massive, promising to deliver an action RPG that sees players control government agents in the aftermath of a huge virus infection in Manhattan.

While talking with fans on the UbiBlog, Game Director Ryan Barnard confirmed that, while most of the game will take place in New York's famous borough, players are going to be able to explore other areas in the game.

Sadly, Barnard didn't say just what those areas might be, so it's unclear if more New York districts are going to be added or whole cities altogether.

The Division is set to appear in 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
