Ubisoft confirms in its latest financial briefing that it's decided to delay the debut of The Division, its long-awaited multiplayer online action game, to early 2016, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

The Division was revealed to the world quite some time ago, and in recent years, some pretty stellar gameplay demonstrations were made by publisher Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment.

After having shared the news last week that Ubisoft's Annecy studio was helping Massive complete the game, alongside previously confirmed partnerships with Reflections and Red Storm, the publisher now brings forth a new release period for The Division.

According to the latest financial earnings report, Ubisoft is going to debut The Division in early 2016. More specifically, ahead of March 31, 2016, the French company expects to launch the multiplayer experience.

No exact time frame was given, but it's quite likely that the title will launch sometime in late February or early March, so that Ubisoft's many teams have as much time as possible to complete the game and optimize it across all platforms.

No other statements were made, but you can expect to hear more about The Division next month, at E3 2015, where Ubisoft is going to hold its own press conference.
