The team of Ubisoft studios working on the upcoming The Division multiplayer shooter has just gotten larger, as the large publisher confirms that its Annecy team is now helping the already-confirmed group led by Massive Entertainment, alongside Reflections and Red Storm.

The Division was revealed to the world quite a few years ago and, while several gameplay demonstrations were made since then, not much else has been heard about the multiplayer shooter.

While initially the project was being made only by Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment team, soon it was confirmed that Reflections and Red Storm were also helping out, in a classic multi-studio development effort orchestrated by Ubisoft.

Now, on the UbiBlog, the publisher confirms that another developer has joined the team, in the form of Ubisoft Annecy.

While the exact role being played by the team isn't revealed, Ubisoft highlights its crucial efforts done with the Assassin's Creed titles, as it created the Café Theatre zone and missions in Unity, for example.

You can expect to see more details about The Division and how Ubisoft's different teams are working to finally release the long awaited game in the near future, possibly at E3 2015 in June, where the publisher will host its own special press conference.

The Division, so far, is still scheduled to debut in 2015 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
