The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is finally being officially revealed by the development team at 2K Marin and publisher Take Two, set to mix the traditional elements of the series with a new third-person perspective and a focus on squad action.

The shooter will take players back in time to 1962, when an organization called The Bureau was trying to deal with the nuclear threat of the Soviet Union.

Its purpose quickly changes once the world is under threat from alien invaders and players will be able to control a special agent named William Carter as he tries to beat back the invasion and make sure that no one known about it.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is set to launch on the PC, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 on August 20 in North America and three days later in Europe.
