You know it's going to be a really sweet day when Claptrap says, "Hey everybody, check out my package!"

Publisher 2K Games has released the launch trailer for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the quirky-titled third entry in the popular Borderlands series.

The weird title is not something that fans of the first-person shooter and role-playing game mashup will raise their brow at, as the franchise is notorious for its coarse and/or silly outlook on life and death, from workers you shoot at complaining that you just had to come during their shift to occurrences that seem taken straight out of kids' cartoons.

The game follows Handsome Jack's ascension to power, offering players the chance to step into the shoes of Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer, and Claptrap the Fragtrap, and to shoot up countless enemies on Elpis, Pandora's moon.

You'll be able to choose from a wide assortment of lasers (3 gajillion, if we are to take the developer's word on it), and you'll be able to freeze your enemies and shatter them into pieces, and that's when you're not launching them into outer space.

And that's if playing as Claptrap is not enough of a reason to take up the game. In any case, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming out tomorrow, October 14, in North America, followed by Australasia on October 16, and Europe on October 17.
