The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is still some time away from launch, but the development team, alongside Sony and Activision, are keen to show gamers the way the new open world title looks on the PlayStation 4 home console.

On the official PlayStation Blog, the companies state that, "Controlling separate sides of Spider-Man with separate sides of your brain has a great psychological effect, and it really immerses you even deeper into your character, particularly when you have to decide to use the right or left trigger based on the physical location of buildings as you swing through the city."

The new game is also using the cell phone for the main character in order to give him information about his progress and about his stance towards the population of New York City.

The developers also say that gamers will be able to become Peter Parker at times, dealing with his ordinary life and the challenges he cannot solve by putting on the Spider-Man suit.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be launched on the Sony device, the PS3, the Xbox One, the 360, the PC, the Nintendo Wii U and mobile devices on April 29 in North America and on May 2 in Europe.
