14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Beenox and publisher Activision are delivering the first gameplay footage taken from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, showing fans of the comic book character and the video game franchise some of the core mechanics that they will be able to experience.
The two companies are keen to create some interest in the coming title, which is at the moment set to arrive on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Wii U from Nintendo, the PC, current-gen consoles and mobile devices.
It will be offered on April 29 in North America and on May 2 in Europe.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to accompany the movie with the same name and will feature a complementary story, which will explain how the character is trying to get past the death of his Uncle Ben.
The cast of villains he will have to deal with includes Kraven the Hunter, Electro and Kingpin.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will focus on an open world structure and will allow players to swing their way around the city, exploring areas that are bigger than any other offered before and using a number of combat moves that will emphasize the grace and unique abilities of the comic book character.
