Microsoft doesn't know when a permanent solution will appear

Microsoft has confirmed that it's aware of the recently surfaced black screen error that affects the Xbox One, which is caused by the loss of video signal, and said that owners should just restart their consoles until a solution appears.

The Xbox One next-gen console received a fresh firmware update over the weekend, bringing quite a few new features and behind-the-scenes improvements to the device's system software.

Unfortunately, as we reported yesterday, it also brought quite a major problem that's already affected plenty of Xbox One owners.

More specifically, when exiting games, the video signal cuts off and the result is a black screen.

Microsoft has confirmed on its Xbox Support Twitter account that it's aware of the issue but that no concrete solution is available just yet.

As such, the only recommended way of getting rid of the error is to perform a hard reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
