Developer Media Molecule and publisher Sony have unveiled more screenshots from the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Tearaway Unfolded.

The title is designed to expand some of the mechanics in the popular original game, as well as to bring some gameplay innovations that are only possible on the newest home console from Sony.

The original Tearaway enabled gamers to immerse themselves in a paper world, a work of love and creativity, just like Media Molecule’s other endearing platformer, LittleBigAdventure.

The game was only available on the PlayStation Vita handheld gaming console, and now it’s making the transition to the big screen for the first time, allowing users to expand on the range of interactions through the use of a DualShock 4 controller, such as shining the DS4’s light bar at the TV to work as a flashlight.

The inventive use of the PS Vita’s numerous input means was lauded by gamers and critics alike, and the lively visuals were also praised by everyone.

The upcoming game is a retelling of the original story, built on an entirely new engine, with a bigger storyline and full 1080p graphics.

For the time being, there is no prospective launch date for Tearaway Unfolded, other than sometime during 2015.
