THQ has just announced that it has cut around 100 jobs at two of its most important studios, Vigil Games and Relic Entertainment, as part of its ongoing restructuring efforts.

THQ isn’t in the best of financial situations right now, as quite a few of its recent games failed to meet expectations.

After revealing yesterday that the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium title would no longer be an online game, the company has now confirmed that it has laid off a lot of staff at both Dark Millenium developer Relic Entertainment, as well as at Darksiders II studio Vigil Games.

79 full-time jobs were eliminated from the Texas-based Vigil, while 39 positions were cut from Relic in Vancouver.

These layoffs shouldn’t affect the actual Darksiders or Warhammer series, at least according to THQ.
