The team at Nintendo working on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. says that the title will feature a separate list of Trophies associated with the 3DS and the Wii U versions of the game.

Masahiro Sakurai, the leading developer at the studio, writes on the official Miiverse service that, “There will be trophies in the 3DS and Wii U games, and each version will boast different types and models. The 3DS trophies will be mainly from handhelds and the Wii U version will feature trophies from the home-console games.”

It seems that most of the content of the two versions of Super Smash Bros. is segregated.

The developers have already revealed that stages will be separate on the 3DS and the Wii U.

Customization options for characters can be transferred but no actual cross-platform battles are being implemented.

Super Smash Bros. will be launched at some point in 2014.
