Masahiro Sakurai, the game director working on the new Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS, says that his team is currently working on a new stage for the title, which is based entirely on ideas taken from Super Mario Galaxy.

On the Miiverse service the developer states, “A new stage, Mario Galaxy!! The pull of gravity emanates from the center of the planet, so this will require using brand-new tactics.”

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS is a brawler that allows players to pick from a variety of characters from the Nintendo line-up, each of them with his unique powers and abilities.

The game is designed to be easy to pick up and play but hard to master.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS is set to be launched at some point in 2014 and will feature a set of innovative mechanics when compared to previous titles in the series.
