Zelda, the renowned princess of Hyrule, has been confirmed to be the 20th playable character in the upcoming 2014 title Super Smash Bros.

IGN reports that the playable version of princess Zelda, modeled after the Twilight Princess incarnation, will join other legendary Nintendo royalty members Peach and Rosalina in the fighter roster.

Zelda will also have to face her beloved Link, that will benefit from two versions, the more classical version popularized by early games as well as the cel-shaded version from the Wind Waker game.

The addition of Zelda will also bring some new stages in the brawler, all familiar backdrops to fans of the series, such as the Skyloft from Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the Gerudo Valley from the Ocarina of Time and the Spirit Tracks Train stage.

Although Super Smash Bros was announced for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms as early as E3 2011, the announcement for an official release date is still to be made.
