Yoshinori Ono, the game developer best known as the executive producer working on the Street Fighter series, announces that he is leaving his director position at the Vancouver studio of Capcom and that he is taking some time to think about his future in the industry.

The game creator says that he will take some personal time in the immediate future and that he wants to thank all those he worked with and the team that made the Dead Rising series.

Capcom Vancouver recently worked on the third game in the franchise, which was a launch title for the Xbox One home console from Microsoft, and it previously also created the second game in the series and two of its add-ons.

The publisher has not yet offered commentary on the decision that Yoshinori Ono has made.

The developer adds on his official Twitter feed that “Only my role for Capcom Vancouver has ended. My position within Capcom has not changed and I'm still involved in all of the projects that I'm currently working on.”

The Street Fighter series has been one of the best-selling properties for Capcom and Yoshinori Ono is probably working on a new title at the moment, although no official announcement about one has been made.
