The Steam Family Sharing beta program has begun, as Valve has confirmed that 1,000 invitations have been sent to those who registered to try out the new system of game sharing.

Valve surprised a lot of users earlier this month when it confirmed that a new Family Sharing system was going to be released later this year, which allows any user to share access to his game library with up to ten friends or family members.

Now, the beta stage of this system is officially underway, as Valve has confirmed that 1,000 invitations have been sent to users who registered their interest for it.

More waves of invitations will be sent out in the near future, so those who haven't received one shouldn't worry.

In case you want to register your interest, join the Steam Family Sharing group on the official website.
