Developer Valve has launched yet another feature for its Steam digital distribution service, allowing gamers to manage their library of video games by logging into their account using any browser they want.

The feature is included in the beta client update, which means that it will probably soon go live to the entire player base as long as there’s no serious bug with it.

In order to remotely handle the video game library using Steam, gamers will have to leave the service running on their home PC.

The feature seems designed for eager players who can now buy a title from the road or from work and then get the download started at home in order to make sure that the title is all ready to go when the gamer gets home.

Steam has recently focused on adding new functionality to the Steam service in order to fend off competition from the likes of Origin, GameStop and Gamersgate.
