Undead Labs, the developer of the pretty popular State of Decay zombie game, confirms that the long-awaited Year One Survival Edition for the Xbox One and PC is going to receive an official release date later this month, probably during PAX South, at the end of January.

State of Decay launched first on the Xbox 360 and then on the PC platform, delivering a pretty intense open-world zombie experience in which players tried to survive for as long as possible, while taking care of their own survivor settlement.

The title delighted a lot of people and got expanded through add-ons like Breakdown or Lifeline, prompting the studio Undead Labs to be acquired by Microsoft last year.

Currently, the team is working on State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition for the Xbox One and PC, which takes the core game and its expansions, and adds improved visuals, new content, and plenty of other things.

While not much has been said about the game in recent months, Undead Labs confirms on Facebook that it's going to reveal the release date for Year One Survival Edition later this month, probably during the PAX South conference that takes place between January 23 and 25 in San Antonio, Texas.

"The release date of YOSE (plus answers to at least some of your questions about what we'd like to do for those of you who've supported us already) is going to be announced this month. We'll definitely be talking about everything at PAX South, in Booth #1059, hint, hint, please come see us."

As such, expect to hear more about State of Decay on the Xbox One and its re-release on PC in just a few weeks.
