Blizzard is getting ready to release StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm later this month and, in order to give those who've yet to experience the first chapter in the series a chance to play it, the studio has implemented a 50% price cut for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty in Europe.

StarCraft 2 was eagerly awaited by millions of real-time strategy fans and Blizzard delivered the first chapter in the planned trilogy a few years ago.

Now, after a long wait, the studio is close to releasing the second part of the saga, StarCraft : Heart of the Swarm.

In order to give even more people a chance to experience the game, Blizzard has just confirmed that a 50% price cut is available for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty on its European Battle.net store.

As a result, Europeans need to pay €19.99/£16.99/299 roubles.

The price cut lasts until March 11, one day before the release of Heart of the Swarm on the PC and Mac platforms.
