The team in charge of the GOG digital distribution outlet is announcing that a second wave of Star Wars-themed video games are being added to the service, allowing long-time fans of the franchise to experience them with updates that should make them easily playable on modern computers.

The list includes:

Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Star Wars Battlefront II Star Wars: Dark Forces Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

The list if very solid and marks another step in a collaboration between GOG, Lucasfilm and Disney Interactive which should result in even more game launches in the coming months.

At the moment, work is ongoing on a new Star Wars movie, which is set to be launched later in the year, and we know that DICE is preparing to offer more information on Star Wars: Battlefront, which is also set to arrive in the fall.

Other titles linked to the franchise are expected to be revealed at a later date, including one which is handled by BioWare.

Unfortunately, there are no plans for the company to create a follow-up to the much loved but sadly unfinished Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II.
