The official Microsoft Store has a page dedicated to the coming Star Wars: Battlefront title from DICE and Electronic Arts, which confirms that the much loved Galactic Conquest mode will be implemented in the new title.

The official description states that gamers can "play as one of a number of different soldier types, jump into any vehicle, man any turret on the battlefront, and conquer the galaxy, planet by planet."

The mode is not named directly, but the text is pretty clear, although some caution is advised given that the site also lists a December 31, 2013 launch date for Star Wars: Battlefront, according to OXM.

The Microsoft Store also says that classic battles set in the universe can be relived, which means that the Hoth shot in the debut trailer was not just a throwaway choice.

Star Wars: Battlefront does not currently have a launch date and a rumor has suggested that a new open world title based on the franchise is also in development at Electronic Arts.
