Without a doubt, one of the most impressive games showcased at E3 2012 this week is Star Wars 1313, the new action adventure shooter from LucasArts.

After hearing the first details last week and checking out two great videos yesterday, a new batch of screenshots from the upcoming game has appeared, alongside a statement from Epic Games that claims the title is running on Unreal Engine 3 technology.

While most Star Wars games placed players in the shoes of Jedi warriors, Star Wars 1313 takes a different approach, allowing them to control a bounty hunter as he uncovers a massive conspiracy in the depths of the planet Coruscant.

We have already seen some impressive videos that made a lot of people speculate that it was going to be the first next-generation game for new consoles.

Now, alongside a fresh batch of screenshots that you can find in the gallery below, comes a confirmation from Epic Games, via CVG, that Star Wars 1313 is actually powered by the current Unreal Engine 3 technology.

Judging by the images below, however, it’s clear that quite a lot of improvements have been made to UE3 in order to produce a more impressive experience.
