The Star Trek video game linked to the new movie series could not exist if the entire cast had not been involved from the beginning, because the experience would not have been able to reflect the core elements of the universe.

Brian Miller, the vice president in charge of Star Trek development at Paramount, states, “we weren’t going to make this game unless we had the cast. Not only did we have the cast, we have all the cast. We reached out to everyone early on.”

He also explains that the game will use a third-person perspective in order to better reflect the interaction between Captain Kirk and First Officer Spock.

Star Trek will see the two character battle the Gorn threat and will be launched in late April on home consoles and the PC.
