14 DAY TRIAL // The teams at developer Digital Extremes and publisher Namco Bandai are delivering a new trailer for their upcoming Star Trek: The Video Game, designed to show how the experience will stay true to the core ideas of the movie reboot.
The trailer also reveals how various actors from the J.J. Abrams reboot worked on the game, including well-known faces like Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and Anton Yelchin.
The game’s story is not linked to that of the new movie and will ask players to collaborate while playing as Captain Kirk and First Officer Spock to face the Gorn threat.
Star Trek: The Video Game will be launched on April 23 in North America and three days later in Europe on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.
