The company will offer more details in the coming months

Video game publisher Square Enix says that a document which mentioned both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 as launching in 2014 is inaccurate, with the dates only used by the company as placeholders.

A statement sent to Siliconera says, “We’re aware an internal document has been in circulation listing release dates for select Square Enix titles. This information contained in this document is inaccurate and features placeholder timing.”

The company has plans to offer more details on Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 in the coming months, but it seems that launch windows have not yet been finalized.

The two titles were revealed last year during E3 as coming to the PlayStation 4 from Sony and Xbox One from Microsoft.

Both will use core Japanese role-playing game mechanics and will offer new stories set in the long-running universes created by Square Enix.
