The team at Square Enix in charge of the Final Fantasy series is asking fans of the series to offer a range of opinions about it using a new survey, but it’s unclear at the moment what the publisher wants to do with the data it will get access to.

The questionnaire starts off by basically asking all those willing to answer to prove how much of a fan they are by talking about their purchases for the past year, while also offering some basic info.

Square Enix is also interested in the most popular platforms and the genres that gamers like.

It ends with two questions about mobile gaming, which might be a sign that the company is at the moment getting ready to move more titles associated with the Final Fantasy title to that platform.

Of course, the publisher might also be exploring ideas about a spin-off or other types of content.

For the time being, Final Fantasy XV is the focus of the developers and the game looks pretty cool on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, although the fan community has been asking for more details about the core mechanics.

Square Enix is also adding more content to the MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, while also tweaking its main features.
