Warner Bros has announced that it is rebooting the Spy Hunter series, a combat driving concept, for the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS handhelds at some point during the fall.

Development of the game will be handled by TT Fusion and will allow gamers to take the place of an Agent who drives the G-6155 Interceptor supercar that carries an array of advanced weaponry and gadgets.

Players will have to use the Interceptor and its ability to morph into other vehicles and then battle a worldwide terrorist organization by selecting missions from a branching set of options.

The rebooted Spy Hunter will also introduce a support drone that allows players to better plan their assaults on enemy forces.

Samantha Ryan, a senior vice president at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, says, “Spy Hunter's classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita and 3DS players a new, adrenaline-charged experience.”

The Executive added, “Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customization with greater hand controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras.”
