Video game developer Ubisoft San Francisco and publisher Ubisoft are announcing that they are working on a new video game based on the South Park franchise, which is set to be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is designed to get players back to the quiet little mountain town, with gamers once again becoming the new kid who needs to find ways to fit in with the gang.

Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will once again form the core team and they will explore the universe, meeting with a variety of characters and dealing with threats in classic turn-based combat sequences.

Fans of South Park will be familiar with the Coon and Friends episodes.

Ubisoft adds, "This dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. As the New Kid, players will join Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch and a host of others to battle the forces of evil while Coon strives to make his team the most beloved superheroes in history."

At the moment, the development team is not ready to offer more details about South Park: The Fractured but Whole.
