14 DAY TRIAL // Sony says that sales of the PlayStation Vita handheld increased by 68 percent the week that the PlayStation 4 was launched in the United Kingdom and 65% during the second seven-day period when the console was available.
VideoGamer quotes Ben Law, a senior product manager, as saying that, "we've already seen amazing feedback from PS4 owners on the Remote Play feature, and the success of Tearaway highlights what great proposition PS Vita is, either as a standalone device or as the perfect companion to PS4."
Sony has promoted the idea that a Vita is the perfect second screen for the PS4 and a bundle that delivers the two devices in the same package is being planned for launch.
The Vita is a powerful piece of hardware, but its high price and the lack of high-profile titles led to smaller than expected sales.
The PlayStation 4 has so far moved more than 2 million units all over the world.
