Sony has released a short comment on the recent reveal from one of its representatives that The Last of Us would appear for the PS4, saying that it has yet to make an official announcement and, ergo, it has "nothing to say on the subject."

The Last of Us amazed millions of PS3 owners worldwide last summer, when it appeared for the last-gen console, thanks to a great story and an addictive multiplayer.

Since then, developer Naughty Dog has released different DLC packs, including a Left Behind story-based expansion for the single-player mode.

Earlier today, one of Sony's Turkish representatives has apparently confirmed that The Last of Us is coming to the PS4 this summer, complete with all of its DLC.

This seemingly made everything official, but Sony's headquarters didn't comment at the time.

Now, Videogamer has managed to snag a statement from Sony Computer Entertain Europe, saying that an official announcement hasn't been made so no comment is available.

"At no time have we announced that The Last of US is coming to PS4 and therefore, have nothing to say on the subject," the representative said.

While this is certainly a "no comment" statement, it's not a denial, so chances are a PS4 adaptation of The Last of Us could appear at some point in time.
