The development team at Rebellion reveals that the secret project it teased yesterday is Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2, a new shooter that will be launched on the PC in the final months of the year and which might also be delivered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Gamers will once more get to star as Karl Fairburne, an OSS agent who needs to fight with three allied soldiers in Berlin against hordes of undead created by an occult Nazi organization.

Tim Jones, the leading creative designer at the studio, is quoted by NeoGAF as saying that, “The environments, the levels, the soundtrack all give a strong feeling of descent - each encounter, each level becoming progressively more hellish. Most importantly though, we've expanded the legions of Nazi undead with some really intimidating new enemies which we'll reveal soon.”

Rebellion says that the first Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army title recouped its costs back on launch day and plans a more ambitious experience for the sequel.
